Hi everyone, i'm new on here so please be gentle.:biglaugh: I've just purchased an 1999 audi tt 225, and was just wondering when should the petrol warning light come on? my petrol gauge said i had in between half and a quarter of a tank left, but yet my petrol light came on and said i only had 10 miles left? is this right or does it seem faulty?
thanks in advance your any help,

Sounds like a fault.
Does the on board computer show the remaining miles in tank ?
does it match the gauge or the low warning light.
The TT dashpod is known to fail and dealers will replace the pod FOC if the fault is the pod.
fuel level sensors are also prone to read the wrong level but they can be cleaned.

my on board computer states that i've got 20 miles left when the needle is showing just under a quarter of a tank, i phoned up my local audi dealer and they said if they test it and it turns out to be the dash board then they would prob change it for free :biglaugh:, but they want £124 to test it:(

If they do find that the dashpod is faulty they should not charge you for testing.
If they try to charge call Audi CS 0800699888
