2 questions for my own knowledge and peace of mind 1.no matter how long i let the car run for the temp gauge never gets past slightly over half way ive since put a new coolant sensor in and its the same i was always told diesels run cooler than petrol so halfway sounds hot to me ? 2. the coolant sensor on a 1996 seat ibiza 1.9d sits connected to the top hose which as i understand is where the hot coolant from the engine comes out then through rad through the bottom hose therefore the coolant temp will always go up never really down im used to petrols where as you drive the temp gauge goes down showing the car cooling i have no idea if this is how diesels work or not as this is my first diesel :confused:
