A8 Cruise Control Fault

I am having problems with my A8 cruise control speeding up on its own. It starts off fine then after a few minutes increases, naturally this is very annoying. It seems to be intermitant as yesterday it worked ok. Anyone have any ideas what the problem may be?

My Cruise decided to be a bit intermittent. Holding the stalk towards the dash it would all work fine but no use if you had the lights on....

The fix was to fit a new stalk - easy enough job if you have a decent tool kit.

Very unlikely as that puts the cruise off until it's reset by driver input.
