I personally havnt done one, however from what Iv seen/been told you wont need any speacialist tools to do it.If your familiar with doing clutches on older cars then youll be able to do this one.I did a clutch on my '77 MGB a while ago, what a monster of a job that is!Engine out etc. With this Audi I would have thought it would be ok to do as the engine is longitudinal and front wheel drive,so the gearbox may be able to simply move back and not come completely off, possibly leaving the half shafts in place!Iv got a haynes for my A4 somewere,Ill dig it out and have a look to see what they recommend.

Think I may need to do mine too - it's heavy (although I've driven cars with much worse) and seems to bite quite high... No slip though, so I'm not worrying too much at the moment.

Any difference in changing the clutch on a diesel 2wd and a quattro?
