Noise from turning lights on

I have an a4 02 and when I turn on the headlights (the driving lights on) some continuous sound goes off. I managed to stop it by clicking check but the next time i turn on the lights same noise happens. Please help

Hi, do you have a bulb blown? the car check the bulbs are functioning and warns the driver.

Yes one of the bulbs wont lighten, I thought the bulb was blown but I replaced it and unfortunately it only leaves the wires. :mad:

Not sure what you mean by this Andrew.

I think it means he's replaced the bulb but it still doesn't work which leave the fault in the wiring.
