hey im wondering if anyone can help me out?

im looking to get a bluetooth cd player fitted to my 53reg golf, halfords are telling me that it will cost me 35 for cables to connect the steering wheel controls and another 80 on top of that, has anyone else done this? i dont mind paying the 35 but 80 iswell is a bit steep? any info will be greatfully accepted, thanks

What's the £80 for??

im not sure what the name of the part was but it was for some connector along with the cables(£35) to enable me to connect to steering wheel controls? are they talking s***e?

The £80 wasn't to install the stereo was it.
If your having a single DIN unit fitted half the centre console has to come out and an adaptor fitted.
You could do this yourself have a look on here there is a How To.
I did using the How To, I was S****** myself but it wasn't that bad.

no they are only charging £10 to fit it, thanks for the tip. will check it out.
