oil pressure warning light

I have a 52 plate superb 1.8t the oil pressure warning light keeps coming on i fill it up with oil but no success

check the wiring under the battery tray

Worth checking oil pressure with a gauge.

Would guess that the strainer on the oil pickup is blocked (common on 1.8t engines)
