Golf wont idle

Hi
I have a 1.4 16v and on cold start up it will not idle, if you hold the revs up for a little while and ease them off slowly it will idle. It seems to start fine once warmed up i was thinking idle control valve or coolant temp sensor??

Bump any ideas this is a very annoying fault

Fault code read, clean throttle body and re-adapt throttle body to the ECU using something like VAG-COM.
