hi,new to forum,got problem with partner`s car,x reg(2000) polo 1.4 s 8v,90k.has misfire at idle which gets worse around 1900 to 3000rpm,but drives ok at m/way speeds(3500/4000rpm) check lamp been on for a while now,had it code read,came up with p0340 cam pos sensor circuit malfunction,cleared codes+lamp off but code back+lamp back on after 10 miles or so,(misfire always present).can anyone give me any direction as to what i need to be checking ie:wiring etc+what values am i looking for before i dive in with new sensor?any help v.much appreciated !:dunno:
