Newbie in the North East

Hi,

My name is Marc and I am thinking of buying a 04 Passat highline from a local car dealer, so I am looking for advice.

The car I am looking at is a 04 plate Passat 1.9 TDI 130 bhp high line with 72K on the clock, the car is up for £7K. Is this a little over priced and what problems should I look out for. The only thing I can see wrong so far is two buttons missing from the fan controls on the centre console.

I am going to test drive the car tomorrow morning.

I had a 53 plate 1.9 tdi 130 bhp and I run the car for 4 years and 172000 miles and in that time the only things I changed apart from the filters, pads, discs, etc were 2 intercooler hoses. One was changed at about 120000 and the other at about 150000. The car was regularly serviced at the main dealer. Very good engine.
