If you want to have a go refurbishing them yourself, have a look at my thread Knackered Lacquer (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=35502).

I've done 2 out of my 4 wheels, and they've come up great. I'll post some pictures when they've all been done.

I used a chemical stripper to get rid of all the lacquer, 600 grit wet 'n dry to sand down, then 800 grit and finally 1500 grit. Then polished with Brasso to bring up the shine, then 3/4 coats of clear lacquer. Total cost < £20 all in, plus numerous hours of elbow grease.

If you want someone to do it for you, it will be ~£40 - £50 per wheel.

Ive just bought everything I need to refurbish my alloys.
Something for the weekend.

Read the forums and just do a general search for alloy repair.

Most places will instruct you like Hex has... Im looking forward doing mine... but unsure about removing the whole wheel...

Everything in moderation :)

There's a very good wheel refurbishing company in B'ham called Lap-Tab if you type that into google you'll get their website. They do several finishes including powder coat and are quite reasonably priced aswell. :D
