Just bought Golf GT TDI 130 and runs okay (good fuel economy, reasonable performance, etc) - but there appears to be excessive induction noise on acceleration. I have had plenty of Turbo Diesels before so enjoy turbo whine/whistle but this noise seems too much. Done a quick check for loos pipe work, etc. No smoke either. Any ideas? :1zhelp:

Also got a very active water temperature gauge - but I'm assuming that's just a dodge sensor - any feedback on where I could find it on the engine would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you actually had a pd130 before though? They do make a good induction noise anyway. Mine is somewhat amplified by a wide intake, green filter and a hyrbid turbo. Can hear it in the beginning bit of this video, even from some distance away. (ignore the smoke)

It was running a little badly when I was over in Czech Republic last September. I didn't bother filling up the propane injection kit, and so I think it didn't like that. Plus it was quite hot and my car's been tuned up a fair bit. Overfuelling and not enough cool charged air getting in. Soon be sorted though. ;) This particular blat on the airfield was a little bad too. :D

I'm a trainee accountant with a good credit rating. Borrowing against future earnings once I'm qualified. :D The CZ trip in Sept was relatively inexpensive. 5 tanks of diesel, £25 ferry crossing, £90 for 3 nights in self cater accommodation and about £50 on extras.
