Hi, first post so please treat me gently.
I've an 1999 A4 with the original factory fitted CD changer in the boot. Recently its begun to come up ERR3, ERR2 or not read many of the CD's in the holder. All CD's are 'proper' copies, no burnt CD's. Sometimes I'll remove the CD Cartridge and replace them and occasionally a couple more will work but this rarely happens.
Is it dead? If so, is it a simple case of replacing one 6 CD changer unit for another and if so, can anybody recommend a reasonable changer unit. Also, as I'm a total numpty with car electrics, is it a simple - take out - replace with one plug and no need for an ambulance to be standing by due stress levels?
