Gear knobs!

Hi

I've got a Audi A3 2.0 FSI Sport (2003) and I'm looking for the Audi standard leather gear knob (I'm not paying the £102 Audi want). I've seen an A4 one that looks identical but I was wondering if anyone knew if this should fit my A3? Also how easy are they to fit?

Apparently it is one and the same - does anyone know the best way to fit it?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that they don't screw on. I think you have to remove the gaiter and get to a collar underneath.
