Please help! Alpine CD Changer in Passat 2005

Hello everyone, please help a newbie !!

I've just bought a Passat TDI-140 SE & a lovely car it is, it's got the standard single CD RCD300 which of course doesn't play mp3s, however, I already have an Alpine mp3 CD changer (CHA-S634 AI-Net unit) which I removed from my old vauxhall. The unit is complete with the AI-Net cable.

I was surfing the internet last night & I read in a couple of places that I can connect the Alpine changer but I may need some sort of adapter.

Also I'm not sure how to take the VW CD-player off? it looks too nice to damage by not knowing how to take it off.

Would anyone please shed some light on the situation & advise on how to do this & where to get it from.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont think youll be able to fit an aftermarket changer to the system. The RCD300 hasn't got an MP3 decoder in built, so best case is you will only be able to use it as a CD changer.
