gamma unit. changing or not changing ???

HI I've got a passat 2001 and thinking about changing the head unit. Right now I have a factory fittet gamma unit and factory fittet speakers.
I was wondering if there will be any diffrence if I will change only the unit and leave the speakers and if so maybe you could advise me a good unit which will work better with those speakers then gamma. Thanks

I upgraded from my standard symphony unit and the sound is so much better.

I bought this unit, does everything I want it to.
