roof antenna in the new avant

Hi i have ordered a new a4 avant 1.8 tfsi advanced ibis white with s-line exterior - open sky etc..
Delivery in september :-)
I'm like a baby with toys......
Anybody can tell me if the new avant has the roof's antenna?
I have the radio symphony with audi sound system without navi!

Yup, no shark fin antenna without the phone prep. I think the radio antenna is in the windcrseen

I have been advised by an Audi Salesman that you get the roof aerial if you spec the B+O sound system upgrade regardless of you ordering phone prep. Does anyone out there have B+O without phone prep that can confirm this.

Mine has the B&O speakers and no phone prep. As far as I could see from a quick look in the pouring rain this aft, it doesn't have a shark fin. Will know for sure when I pick it up day after tomorrow.

Cant say for the avant but on the saloon with B&O and no phone prep = no shark fin

I cant imagine why they would fit a fancy antenna with the B&O kit unless its for better radio reception. I would suggest that it only comes with a phone prep though.

My thoughts exactly. Just putting the dealers patter to the test. Looks like the fin is with phone prep only full stop.

bit of an old thread but just to confuse things - you do get the "sharksfin" with sat nav even without phone prep in the saloon - i know as my car is this config and has a "fin", i went to visit it today prior to pickup next week and saw it myself - i'd assume the avant would be the same (chap at the dealership said this was the case)

There seems to be little consistency here. I have just got my Avant with Nav but without phone prep. I also have a fin despite being told it would not have :D. To boot it is also colour coded to the paint work :fing02:

mines coloured like the rest of the car too - far better look than the black one i had on the car i was loaned

Cars with sat nav will need the roof ariel for the GPS signal so will get the sharks fin even if no phone fitted.
