Milano Silver

[2.7 S-line]

Firstly hello all

i've just ordered a 2.7 multitronic S-Line , sat nav , leather few other bits and peices......

traded in an A3 2.0 tdi sport dsg - dealer has put me in a brand new A4 2.0 tdi se while i'm waiting for mine, in a kind of light blue that i'm not that keen on as a colour (this was part of the haggling so as to max the trade in for my old car while keeping me on the road while waiting for my new car to arrive)

I've ordered mine in monza silver but i've not seen an A4 in this colour - only a few pics of an S5 - i've hunted high and low and have not been able to find any shots of an A4 in this colour. I realise this colour has not been available for long but wondered if anyone has any pics/links ? as i'm a bit nervous ordering a colour option i've never seen in the flesh.

also might help take my mind off the wait for the new car - worse than waiting for christmas as a kid !!

This seems to be torturing loads of people!!! You are not alone.

Having been following forums on the B8 for over 6 months I have not seen a reliable photo of Monza Silver either. It seems it is probably closest to Avus silver (the previous s-line only "silver") but slightly more grey toned in appearance. Should be absolutely fantastic and you will surely be one of the first with a confirmed pic of it to post.

Meantime I wouldn't put too much weight on stuff posted as ? Monza elsewhere as the colour calibration would have to be absolutely spot on to be clear on the subtleties of the colour.

Know this doesn't help a great deal but it is as it is.

I was torn between Monza and Ice silver and Camberley Audi have an RS6 in their showroom in Monza. At first I was going to order my Avant in Monza but opted for Ice Silver on the basis that unless the sun is shining Monza looks like a flat drab grey because it is pearlescent (oh, and my wife preferred Ice Silver :o ).

After much rumination I ordered our new 3.0TDI Avant in Monza Silver. From my wanderings online it seems to be reckoned that this car is in Monza:

I'm actually kind of enjoying the suspense right now. Currently expected mid-late August, although I haven't decided yet whether to wait and put it on a new plate. As soon as it arrives I'll post a few pics and try and put everyone out of their misery. :-)

thanks for the link - looks like monza is going to be the right choice for me as i found the standard silver a little light for my taste - looks sort of halfway between ice silver and quartz grey which is what i was hoping for

really excited now....

have to wait till early sept for mine - the suspense is killing me already

well finally got to see Monza silver in the flesh today - went to visit my car at the dealers prior to picking it up next week !

looks fantastic !

the s-line body kit also makes a huge difference , as my wife put it the SE looks like its middle aged while the s-line looks like an athlete - an odd analogy but i kinda see what she means

was parked next to a couple of A4's in quartz silver and ice silver (loads at the dealers ready for 1st sept) - pretty much 1/2 way between the two in terms of the lightness of the colour but with a slightly bluer hue than ice silver

looked pretty much bang on what i was expecting after looking at the various pics in this thread (thanks again for posting the links) - very nice colour in shade and sun (went from the middle of summer to deepest winter in the few minutes i was drooling over it ! got to love the british summer) - like it way more than the sphere blue of my loan car which seems to only look good when the lights just right otherwise looks a flat grey

now have to wait till monday before i can go for a spin - the agony :D
