Comfort control module issue

Replaced my 06 A4 Cabriolet ccm (got wet) with new module 8ho 959 433 m. The m superseded the h ccm that was on the car. Installed it in the car and only got limited functionality. Power windows, central locking with key or door switch and cabriolet top not working. I was told the new ccm was plug and play. Does the ccm need to be coded to the car?
