2002 A6 Alarm problem

I have a 2002 A6 Avant that has a factory alarm fitted and it seems to have gone a little crazy.
It alarms for no reason when set. I dont need the alarm and i was wondering if i can use the cenral locking without having the alarm set. I tried taking out fuse 14 that is for the alarm & interior lights but the problem continues.
First time using the site and it looks to be helpful for other problems !

From outside the car with drivers door open press the internal panic lock on the drivers door. This will lock everything but the drivers door. Then close drivers door and lock with key. Dont fully turn key only just enough to make the door lock. Result = peace and quiet and you can still unlock with the key fob.
