Hi,
I have been reading over on tdi club about keeping the egr system clean. In order to help prevent oily fumes combining with the intake system causing a clog it has been recommended using vag com to adjust the egr setting for re-circulation.

They suggest logging into the engine control module, going to adaption block 3 and entering a value of 33768 rather 32768. This will then minimise the re-circulation stopping the intake from clogging. As this process is meant to fully reversable i'm keen to try it as more clean air into the engine is better.

Anyone any ideas/tried it?

Car is Seat Leon Cupra TDI 150. :dunno:

You can turn it down but better still over here and unlike the US cars, we don't get a fault code if we unplug or bypass it.

Best solution is to remove it completely and fit something like an Allard bypass kit which replaced it with a striaght piece of ali tube.
