View Full Version : RS4 Wheels onto A4 Quatrro Sport

I have an A4 Avant Quattro Sport 1.8T 180 2000 which as standard has lower suspension than the 1.8T 150. I want to fit RS4 wheels to it as the standard 17" Ronal 10 spokes need major refurb and new tyres.

The problem lies in the fact that with these standard wheels and 225/45/R17 tyres it only has 12mm clearance between the inside of the tyres (front) and the top wishbone so my question is, will 18" x 8 RS4 wheels with 225/40/R18 tyres fit onto my car or will they rub? Or even fit?

The 10 spoke 17" Ronals are 7JX17H2ET45

What is the offset of the 18" wheels ? I have 18" rs 4 alloys with 35mm offset and no rubbing whatsoever.

That's the problem, I'm not sure! They're not genuine parts they're Reps from http://audi.alloy.wheelsgateway.co.uk/alloy-wheels/audi-style-alloy-wheels-933-18.php. I have asked them what the Off-set is but as yet had no reply.

If you keep within the 35 to 45mm offset, you should be ok. I would get 35mm offset wheels with lower profile tyres but the ride quality will suffer a bit. Is your car lowered as well ? I used to have my alloys on a 98 a4 saloon fitted with weitec sport suspension lowered 40mm all round. Had no issues at all. Swapped on missus a4 avant and it sits a bit high on the front for my liking, bought lowering springs for it but too busy latelly to fit.

Yes it is lowered a bit but not by me. It's comes loweed as standard by Audi Sport as It's the 'Quattro Sport', and I think (don't quote me) it's 20 - 30 mm lower than other A4 Avants'.

Does any one know the exact figure?

Not sure if this is much use but i've just bought a quattro sport (saloon) with 19" RS4 replica alloys and they sit within the arches with no problems, had a couple of full loads in the boot and back seats too. Not sure if it needed spacers or not though, as they were already on the car when i bought it
