A3 Window rattles

Wondering if anyone has had any experience of this this - the driver side window has started to rattle - only happens when the window is fully closed - the rattle stops when it is even partially open ???

Hi,

I have just purchased a 2004 A3 (3 door) and I have the same problem with the drivers window. I first noticed it when it started to rain so I think it might be a lubrication issue. Its right at the top of the window and if I press the glass quite hard when the window is closed the rattle/clicking noise stops. If I drop the window slightly the rattle/clicking goes.

It sounds like I have the same issue as you! Did you resolve yours?

My 07 plate 5 door had this problem. The car was under warranty and my local dealer had come across the problem once before. They replaced one of the rubber seals and the noise disappeared.
