anyone got a 1.8T multi yet ?

wondered if anyone has got (or if not ordered) a 1.8T petol multitronic yet. This is probably what i will order but i have only driven the 1.8T manual and 2.7TDI multi. its hard to get an impression of how the 1.8T multi will perform and i am a bit reluctant to place an order until i have tried it or at least had some opinions from this forum . cheers.

Picked up my 1.8T S Line Multitronic last weekend - i moved from the 1.8T A6 manual. The multi is miles ahead of the old one...very very very smooth-you do not even hear the gearbox doing the changes.
Old engine has the louder growl though - when the turbo kicks in - that is the only thing i miss - but the car is superb.Hope this helps...

thanks. we too are moving from an A6 1.8T. how old is the A6 ? ours is an O2 plate. the reason you cant feel it changing is that it isnt - in a multi box there are no gears. its a CVT (continuously variable transmission) !!! unlike the tiptronic which does have steps.
