:aargh4: :zx11: Has any one else had this problem. I took deliver of a T5 in March 2008 and paid the extra to get a factory fit towbar and 13pin electrics.
Come to connect the caravan now and after messing about for ages trying to get the caravan fridge to work on 12v I though I should have a look at the t5 wiring.
To my surprise the factory have not wired in pins 10, 11 and 12 ... there aren't even any metal parts in the 13pin socket!
What are VW upto? Am waiting for dealership to open on Monday!
I made plain to the sales guy it was for towing a caravan, and have even spoken to the service section to check van would be fitted with all the right relays and guage of wiring to stand battery charging and running caravan fridge and they said... of course Sir... no need to worry with a VW
Of course there's no need to worry. There's not ebven any wiring to the relevant bit of the towbar socket ! :zx11::aargh4:
