The window started to clunk when opened or closed and then jammed.
So I stripped it and found that the U shaped long strip of metal that clamps to the bottom of the window with a piece of rubber had corroded at one end and it had parted company with the bottom of the window.
This piece of metal screws onto the horizontal plate of the winding mechanism thus allowing the window to be opened and closed.
I was told that it was a problem when the motor was replaced a year ago by a breakers.
I reassembled the window to the U plate but they came apart on operation. too much rust and or they should not be taken apart or its a factory job?
I will talk to the breakers on Monday who are very helpful, but in the meantime has anyone any suggestions?
