Volkswagen Golf GT 1.4 TSI (170ps)

Hiya, This is my fist right up for on vwaudiforum, i also use meguiars and detailingworld for useful information on detailing.

This is my dads new car, it’s a 2006 Vw Golf GT and i was also allowed a go for doing such a nice jesture of cleaning it.

Ill Also going to keep the process simple…
Process:

• Remove wheels, Give arches a clean with APC (briefly as wheels were where the attention was required)
• Wheels – Clean with Wonder Wheels (car plan) this stuff is strong and bleached the grass as u can see in some photos its gone yellow), the front part of the wheels just got a wash with APC+ fairy, Then Megs GC wax + Collinite 476s
• Car Wash – Megs GC + Nxt mix
• Dry – MF
• Clay- Smooth Surface Clay kit (also comes with a Megs Cleaner Wax Sample)
• Polishing- Could have probably done with a little bit more cut here but #83 + #80 were takin the worst out (via PC7424)
• Wax- Megs GC and Collinite 476s
• Trim and Engine Plastics – Sonus Total Eclipse Vinyl Plastic & Rubber Protectant (for a not to shiny finish)
• Tyres still have something on that the Vw Dealer put on, its oily and greasy, I am waiting for it to wear off rather than smearing it all over the alloys.
• Interior – Simple Vac and Autoglym Interior Shampoo in a few spots.
• Total Time – Estimated 10-13 hours (Dad did help remove wheels and buff of wax, I was happy for the help by the end by arms were sore)

Unfortunately I was wanting some pictures in the sunshine to show the colour of and see how many swirls were removed (I got a good 90% correction I think, I now have one very happy dad), two days later the sun finally came out so I took some more.
