Hi All,
looking for abit of advice.
Recently the batteries died in the remote Central locking / immobiliser key fob . After replacing the batteries, the central locking worked , however the car failed to start. It will crank over without so much as a splutter until the battery dies.

The car has started a few times, and it might be a coincident, but having to recharge the battery all the time, I have disconnected the battery from the car. however, and ran for 5 miles or so, however removing the key sometimes the motor keeps running.

I have investigated so far and found this could be to do with the fuel cut off soenoid(FCS). On inspection of the Injector pump (IP) and the Haynes manual noted that there was a bosch plastic box with two wires in the place were the FCS is shown in the book. I assume this is part of the Immoboiser. With the ignition key in the ON position , unplugging and plugging the two wire connector from the black box produces a clicking sound, that the FCS is being energised / open when the ignition is on.
At the moment its sitting in the drive failing to start at all.

My question is this.
How do i go about getting this thing started.:zx11:
Does the immobiliser control the FCS?, or does it have control over the IP?
Anyone, any ideas.
