I have sourced an ecu for my Audi A4 central locking problem (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3629)

When replacing the ECU the one in the passenger footwell is it just a case of swopping them out or is there anything I should be wary of doing
I have a vag lead with shareware from ross tech so has anybody done this and what should I do

The old ECU could not be accessed by the software so I wont be able to copy any of the codes nover but I thought for the price of a dealer vag check at 80 quid plus it would be cheaper just to get an ecu

Any help appreciated in advance.

Anybody interested in buying their own ECU or anything Audi related try these guys
