Timing belt change Audi A6 V6 2.6l ABC 1994

I need to change the 'stat which lives a behind timing pulley, so it's probably a good idea to change the belt as I've no idea if it's a new'un, or an old'un... But I have heard that the two rollers also may need renewal... as I've never renewed these on previous motors, is there any point? The car to date has done over 74000 miles.... any ideas anybody?
