Scirocco Brakes help needed

I have just attempted to change the brake pads and discs on my Scala. I say attempted. I have changed many brakes so thought, not a problem. I have succesfully changed the drivers side set, when I changed the passenger side, the caliper bolts that hold it in place, when tightened, press into the back of the pads, thus stopping the wheel turning. It turns when these are loose but obviously I can't leave it like that.

Has any one got any ideas. I am slowly losing patience with it which isn't good.

Thanks for a reply, ha. I am positive they are, One of them is too short to go in the wrong one.

I haven't had time to have another look lately, will let you know when I get time.
