I've also just downloaded this manual foc off the internet. It makes for some heavy reading. having only scanned it very briefly it seems to focus on the engine bay mostly. Its not like your traditional Haynes manual that shows you how to take other stuff appart. As of yet I've not seen any sort of index or contents, so finding the info you need may be tricky.

If any one is interested in it and has a good internet connection, plenty of patience and an msn messenger login, drop me an email, PM or whatever and we could possible try and transfer it over msn - hence the patience.

alternativley, post me a blank cd with a self addressed stamped envelope and i'll return it to you, this way i make no financial gain.

Your thoughts please.

on the back of this.... to save me any hassle... if you want to add me to your MSN contacts... RICKTAY@hotmail.com and send me a mail i can send it other to you on a shared folder... im running 8MB connection so its will only take a good few minutes depening on transfer...

drop me a message... as i said.. i got it for nothing and will supply for nothing... (only reason for cost would be postage and jify bag if required...
Cheers

Thanks RickT. My downlod speed is far superior to my upload speed and if you are on 8meg then bob's your uncle. Now its only how good peoples download speeds are. In my experience it would be best to put it in to a compressed folder so msn doesn't block it thinking it is a virus.

I used a download program available at www.limewire.com and went on the philosophy search and thee shall find. i eventually searched for Volkswagen golf pdf (its all in the wording). It eventually popped up after about 6 - 8 attempts. Mind, you have to be broad minded as there WILL be things that appear in the results that you probably don't want to see. The program is the same format as the original napster was and it does not come with any annoying pop up adverts. For those that investigate further - just go with the basic version.

I investigated posting it somewhere too. However, I can find most things i want to download on the web f o c (music, movies not yet released in this country and pc programs) but doing the reverse, putting something there for others is beond me.

It certainly does cover the Bora, which was called Jetta in the US and Canada. I've also got a copy and it covers all the 1.9 TDI variants, including the PD.

You can spend hours reading it though

Hi

ben

No, it only covers models from 1999 to 2005 - the Mk4 / 1J range.

I do have a zipped version of the Mk3 range, but it's too big (6.1Mb) to upload.

if you want to upload stuff. Go to www.yousendit.com (http://www.yousendit.com)

Its very straight forward point and click stuff...and when it asks for a receipent email, just give it one of yours...

you'll be provided with a link after the download for people to download from..

Really interested in that mk3 manual

I'm on dial-up, so I ain't gonna clog up my connection on painfully slow uploads. fx/on <just pausing to chuck some more coal into the steam boiler> fx/off

For anyone who is interested, go to the site mentioned by guerrra, http://www.volkswagen.msk.ru/, find what you want, right-click and save-as. I'd post the linkys directly, but Stuart has disabled right-clicking. Although the site is Russian, many of the documents, including full manuals are in English.

Edit; if you can't find what you want on the first page, scroll down the bottom and look through the monthly archives. Ohh - they even do Skoda fx/on <frantically searches for the Audi stuff> fx/off

Edit2; a "Stifikate of Mupetry" for anyone who owns upto downloading a Rusky version - LOL
