Hi Guys,
I thought I'd just mention an issue I've had cleaning my wheels. When cleaning them, I like to get a sponge right inside the wheel, which is easily done on the 19" rim. However, I must warn you that the alloy cowl that surrounds the back of the brake disc is razor sharp, as i found out with a deep cut to my finger.
I cured this problem by removing the front wheels, and then using wet and dry sand paper sanding the edge of the cowl, removing all sharp edges. As this part is made of alloy, I thought to myself I could "bling" these up a little bit. So out came my tin of G3 rubbing compound and I began spending 15/20 minutes polishing up the cowls.
They now look the dogs dangly's :biglaugh:
Whilst the wheels were off, they were polished with an Autoglym resin and then sealed with Autoglym paint sealant. This will make the wheels a hell of alot easier to clean in the future.
