Welcome to the forum Neal. I am looking into a re-map myself, maybe this would interest you as well? I have heard good recommendations about Chipped UK, but there are other alternatives in the sponsors section of this forum. Not only can you get about 40 more bhp, but better fuel economy as well!

You would have to get in touch with a tuning company to find that out. However a re-map is better than a chip, because a re-map is easier to revert back to at a later date should you wish to change back. Re-maps tend to be better in terms of fuel economy I think. A re-map will be done through your cars OBD II socket, whereas chipping will be a physical chip added to the cars ECU.

Not sure where you're located, but I'd be joining this (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=39070) if I was free that weekend. £250 for a remap including before and after runs on the rolling road...

I presumed that's what the "t" stands for?

Just making sure, didn't know if it was a typo.
