Hey, hope someone can help. Car stalled as i was driving along and wouldn't restart. Starter motor wouldn’t turn over, all electrics lights horn where oki and the battery was oki. The recovery guy couldn’t work out what was wrong. The next morning the car started first time. Any one got any ideas?

ignition switch would be the 1st thing to check, they do funny things when they go wrong. also check the earth points, if they are grubby this could have caused the problem.

Just had similar problem with our 51 reg 1.4E it was clicking and not turning over but the battery was fine and were able to bump start it easily - needed a new Ignition switch, cheap part (<£20) but not labour..!!
