Dear VWAUDI members,

I have a strange problem with my Lupo GTI,
The ESP light goes on after a few minutes of driving.
Stopping and restarting the car makes the light go off again.

Starting the car and switching of the esp and giving it a rolling start seems the bypass the problem for one drive:1zhelp:

Electronic stability Pack seems to be necessary on a high powered light weight hot hatch.

Hope somebody can give me some idea what ESP really does eg engine or suspension based ?

Tips on fixing it i hope .

Greetings

will be a sensor which has gone down..

get it onto VAG-COM to locate the sensor..

same as above... sounds liek a sensor problem to me, locate the sensor, check wiring, will probably have to replace, not sure on the price of one of those?

Thanx for all your great info, i was afraid i would be needing a new ACU.

The car is only 2 years old guess there should be somekind of warranty option?

Because the light comes on sometimes i hope they can backtrack the previous errors with the VAG diagnostics ?

Lupo GTi :Still love going in to 6th gear in a car the size of a shoebox.

:approve: A big thanks to everybody

I had no idea what ESP really did but i found this nice (objective??) site.
