Currently my Audi 1.8T Quattro is running a stock engine, I was tinkering with the idea of changing the air filter, will there be any apparent obvious improvement in my drive experience ? I don't really want to change much with the factory engine - this the most I am willing to do right now.
K&N 57i INDUCTION KIT is what I understand is needed here.

The only real difference will be a slight change in induction noise.

The stock filter is plenty good for over 300bhp+.

Power gains for aftermarket filters are mainly subjective (barry mod), the real restriction being your airflow meter.

Having said that any possible breathing improvement has to be a good thing.

Make sure your filter is up to the job, as you can ablate the leading edge of your turbo compressor blades with a dodgy filter and a dusty atmosphere (takes a long time).

The only difference will be the sound...... plus.. you will have to replace the MAF sooner due to the oil the K&N's use..

Do a search on this section for K&N and see the many posts regarding theses and different opinions..
