Sorry this is a little long... :(

Last Semptember I changed the front brake discs and pads for EBC. Once fitted I noticed that the offside was getting hotter. I wasn't sure whether this was a new problem or one that already existed.

After checking all I could, I took it to a 'brake specialist' who diagnosed a sticking caliper. I checked this and thought it to be ok. He said it was snatching on. As they were insistant I had it changed... hey presto no difference.

The other caliper had a split piston seal so they suggested that it could be the cooler caliper that wasn't working correctly. Another new caliper - still the same.

They then suspected a buckled disc. I had new discs fitted.. no difference. I had the ebc discs put back on and then all of a sudden it seemed fine. I couldn't tell a heat difference.???

I developed a brake squeel recently and decided to check front pad wear. All looked ok and after a test drive, same temps.

Having just had poor mpg (traced to a faulty temp sender connection) I first checked brake for dragging. No they were ok, but the offside was hotter again. Not by much, but noticable to the touch by hand.

Is it me being over sensitive or is something wrong? The car had a new servo some years ago for the plenum chamber issue but has been fine. Someone said it could be the ABS module??? Car brakes fine, no pulling or heat on the rears to compensate.

Any thoughts appreciated as I'm fed up with this. OR am I getting obsessed by brake temps :zx11:

Cheers
Marco

Thanks tyberwan but I had this prob myself some time ago. I had that fixed. My brakes do not stick on but one caliper and disc is a little hotter than the other. Not excessively so. They are normal temps just not equal... most annoying!
