I have a very small chip on the bonnet, probably caused by a stone. It has taken off the paint & gone down to the metal.

Its not paticularly big, but I know it is there.

What should I do?

Ignore it - cos I am bound to get more
Get some (aruba blue) paint & a very thin paintbrush & fill it myself
Go to one of these "Chip" places that turn up in Morrison's car park
Any good suggestions?

Cheers

If you say it's gone down to the metal then applying the paint to fill it won't be much help as the primer is gone also. Although it might help to stop the spot from rusting.

Mine too, dropped a metal box on the rear plastic bumper. Did it when I was taking it out of the boot. One big scratch, right down to the black paint underneath the red and about five smaller scratches.
I'm going to try one of those minor scratch repair people.

If its down to the metal you should not really ignore it. You will get more stone chips but most just take off the clear coat. This one sounds pretty bad, if I was you pay the small amount of money to get it sorted correctly. Annoying but it will annoy the hell out of you everytime you see it and a small price to pay considering the cost of the car.
