03 Passat dash removal

Hi,
Somehow I have managed to get alot of dust/dirt in through the 2 holes of my dash where the dials are. The holes im talking about are for the clock and digital mile reader. How do i remove the plastic cover to clean it? Im sure its a much bigger job than Im thinking, but if anybody has done this or could give me some advice that would be great. Thanks

Stripping that unit down is not advisable, it was not designed for being dismantled. Remember if you kill the panel, the car will not start.
