Hiya

I have a 1997 A3 1.8T Sport which has started making a scraping noise going over speedbumps. I've taken a look underneath and the engine undershield has come loose and is hanging down. Anyone know how to fix/replace this? The Haynes manual makes only passing reference to it even existing. Or has anyone had this done at a garage and know how much it cost to fix?

Cheers!

I would suggests its the fastners rusted through, when I did the oil change on my A4, some wheer looking rather ropy. I don't think they are expensive. It basicallt a metal clip that a short twitning nut goes through, made of mild steel.

The tray itself shoudn't need to be replaced.

You should be able to get them from Audi at the parts desk... if not... ebay... or any car shop as i think there the same as "some" other cars..
