A4 Avant parts and interior

Hello,

I have an A4 98 Avant which has covered 160000+ miles and I am looking to tidy it up a little as the interior is showing its age.

What I would like to ask is:

The 4 spoke steering wheel is a little tired and the leather is wearing through. Will the steering wheels from the newer cars (2000+ ) fit? They look the same but does anyone know if they are? Likewise are the 3 spoke wheels interchangeable with the 4?

The same question goes for the front seats... I have been told that the front seats in the A6 are the same as the A4 and will drop in... Can anyone confirm this for me?

I dont want to go buy the bits and find they wont do the job...

The Main dealers, surprise surprise, wont help.

Has anyone got any of the above they want to unload?

i cant confirm the parts will fit... however.. you may be best getting in touch with a Audi Breakers and asking for some advice on their "stock" and state what you are wanting to do...

and ask them "IF" for any reason they dont fit can they be returned.. on the basis "they" said they will fit..

Can you suggest a breakers yard who are willing to supply and then for you to return the goods if they dont fit? O!

I wont hold my breath for a positive reply.

Audi a4/a6/vw passat all were built on the same platform so the front seats will fit. The rear seats/bench is different ant will Not fit. Audi s4/a4 sport 3 spoke steering wheel fits, looks and feels verry nice ! Check ebay for more bargains, also the breakers yards are a good source for interiour panels.
