hi all, i have a 2001 TT 1.8t that has behaved beautifully , but in the last wk, the traction control light started flashing, and the car limped for a few seconds, now the traction control light is staying on as is the abs light, no misfireing now, but both lights wont go off, any ideas? people have pointed to coil pack or packs, but im struggling to understand how it can be if its now misfireing now, simply staying on...

also does anyone know of a decent independant Audi specialist in Farnham, Surrey area, i think i need to have her looked at,
thanks

Hey mate, did you have any luck with your problem? I've got the same problem - traction control kicks in and stays on when car is cold, limps and needs to be rest. OK once it has heated up but getting steadily worse!!

Was it your coil pack?

Cheers

i got it checked out and error codes read, it turnd out to be a failing rear abs/traction control sensor, so took it down had it replaced, and all fixed now, cost me 140 quid but well worth it..
