Hi all
Been a member here a while, but don't post very much. My car pretty much does what it's meant to, so I don't ask many questions.
Anyway, I'm on my third VW now.
First was a Jetta in the early 90s.
Second was a Passat TDI 4motion from 2003 to 2005
Now I'm running a Mk 4 Golf Cabrio 1.6 which I've had for 2 years.
I converted this to run LPG using a sequential injection system.
Car runs absolutely fine, but I do miss the torque of the TDI engine.
I know that there was a Cabrio available in Germany with the TDI engine, but not in the UK.
Has anyone converted a MKIII of any sort to TDI power from being petrol engined ? I know it's a long shot, if you wanted a TDI you would just buy one, but that's not possible with Cabrios. :D
The spannering doesn't phase me at all, I'm currently converting a Sylva kit car to bike power using a Kawasaki ZX10 engine where the old Ford Xflow used to live.
Anyway, any thoughts most welcome.
Cheers
