I have just installed an after market stereo amp and sub to my mk5 golf, i disconected the batteryto connect the amp wire, and the alarm went off, after stopping it and continued with the install,i found when finishing that the air bag light and asr light is on all the time ... What the hell have i done???
Is this a major garage bill coming up. or can i sort this myself.

Right First am no EXPERT but try this.. Disconect the EARTH lead on the BATTERY but leave the LIVE lead on leave it for 15MINS it should reset same happent to me but abs light come on. Let me know how you got on. :confused:

Its sorted.

I found another post in a different forum, which said to turn the wheel all the way left then straighten , then right and straighten, drive forward, and not go over five mph, turn off car then restart.

cool it worked.
