I have a Audi A4 Avant with no manual.

Is it possible to disable the airbags for the front passenger seat to enable putting my childs car seat in it.

Help Appreciated

It was an optional extra in the B7 along with the Iso-Fix in the rear!!

Only cost about £70 if I remember rightly, and it should have been done as standard if you ask me!! As you can tell mines doesn't have it either!!

Audi can retro fit it but I think they charge around £500!!!
you can buy the switch and looms if required from Audi though and do it yourself!

Hope that helps

you can use vagcom or any other good dignostic eqp to disable it eather that or bisconect battery for 10 mins unplug pasanger air bag an bridge it out with a 2.5 ohm resistor conect battery back up and aidbag sys wil work fine just with no passanger airbag. (airbags on vag cars have a resistance of 2.5 ohms so airbag ecu will thing airbag is there
