Audi a4 2006

I am sure that this is a discussion of this somewhere here but I can't find an exact match. The air-con on my A4 1.8T does not work. The ECON light is always on and cannot be extinquished. I guess this means that there is a problem somewhere. Does anyone have any idea what it is..lack of gas...compressor or what.

:-) Thanks for the answer, I went to re-gas...uhuh, found one leaking radiator behind the front grill that looked like it had been in a war.
I wait for tommorow and cool air again.
