whirring noise

I have a A3 2.0 TDI Sportback and have just started to notice a whirring noise at low speeds. Could this be a turbo problem? It is still very much a background noise but I want to get it put right before the warranty runs out. Any advice would be welcome.:mad:

Where Does the noise come from? Front of the car?

the whirring noise could be from the turbo, my dads car had a similar problem but at high revs and the wastegate had broken causing the turbo to overspin! but im not too sure if this would happen at low revs, dont see why not tho!!! does it do it when you rev the engine?

Thanks for the reply. I notice this noise at low speeds (under 25 mph). I am convinced it is the turbo but have been assured this is quite normal. I find the engine to be ok but must say it is not a refined piece of engineering ( ie chattery), but obviously tried and trusted.
