2005 mk5 golf radio/CD parts

I have a 2005 MK5 golf GT Tdi, the radio/CD volume control/nob has broken off. Where can I get a replacment part??.

I have called my local VW main dealer and they have said they do not / can not get radio parts, I will have to buy a new complete stereo.

I think thats why I might have to do.. I use the playlists in the ipod most of the time when listening to music as it is so I'll have to make a few special driving ones and name them 1, 2, 3, 4, or something..Other than that its great and easy to fit...

Silly question, but how did you manage to break off the volume knob???
