A3 CD Changer problem

Hi, I have a 2000 A3 with a CD changer in the boot. The changer has suddenly stopped allowing the CD cassette to be inserted - it just keeps bouncing out. Any ideas on solving this problem? Thanks.

It won't hold the cartridge in if the mechanism thinks there is already a cartridge in place. Try unplugging the unit's cable for a couple of minutes then reconnecting it, that should reset it.

If that doesn't work it could be that the cartridge latching mechanism is faulty, which would mean a specialist repair.

if its out of warrenty... undo the screw on the back and take it apart... sometime the mech gets stuck..
